Our Saunton Deckchair - also known as our Giant deck chair, is the largest in our range of deckchairs. We've sold over 2,500 of these, making us the world's leading Giant Deckchair manufacturer. The design has been refined and improved over the years to ensure you receive our highest quality product.

The name is inspired by the three and a half mile stretch of sand at Saunton Sands on North Devon’s golden coast. This supersized deckchair can comfortably sit 2 adults, the 3rd you'll need to be friendly with!

Our business customers love this as an alternative, promotional tool. The chances are you might have spotted one of these when you're out and about, or seen your friends on social media sat in one. Our Saunton giant branded deck chairs can be fully customised with your logo and branding, photos and text, or you can chose from one of our exclusive prints.

Want an amazing wedding gift? Our Giant Deckchairs make a great backdrop for fabulous photos for your wedding day, and with a customised sling to match your colours with your names, dates and venue printed you'll have a lasting seat to treasure for many happy years to come. Check out the range of pre-designed wedding deckchairs available.

Our slings are designed to be strong, long-lasting and scratch resistant, but they are a 'consumable' product, meaning you can replace them as often as you need to keep up with changes to your brand, seasonal events and general wear and tear.

Although we make every effort to show our products in their original colours, due to photography, lighting and individual monitor settings, actual colours may vary. Swatches are available upon request for all fabrics. As wood is a natural product, the grain and colour may vary slightly from product to product.

Your Saunton chair will arrive flat-packed, ready for self assembly. You can purchase the tools needed (a 6mm Hex key and a 17mm socket spanner) from us, just pick this option when adding to your basket. You can also choose between wood or aluminium poles (the bit the fabric sling sits on) when selecting your frame.

  • Regularly check the chair for any signs of general wear and tear, particularly in the seating area.
  • Over time the fixings can become loose. Routinely check and tighten them. For Giant Deckchairs, depending on when your chair was first made you will need either a 17mm socket, 6mm allen key, drill and PZ2 pozi bit or TX25 torx bit.
  • All elements of your deckchair are designed for outdoor use, however keeping it inside or undercover when not in use will extend its life.
  • Wood is a natural product, so is prone to expand and contract due to moisture, this may cause cracks to appear.
  • Like your garden fence at home, wood preservative may need to be applied if the timber fades.
  • Fabric is prone to wear and fading when it is being regularly used and exposed to the elements for long periods.
  • Similar to a flag constantly blowing in strong winds, these conditions will increase the wear on the fabric, so if possible choose a sheltered spot for your deckchair to be used or stored.
  • Keep your fabric clean using fresh water and a gentle brush. For more stubborn ingrained dirt use some warm water (below 30°C) and a mild soap solution making sure to rinse thoroughly after.
  • Do not use chlorine or bleach based products, or a pressure washer on your deckchair.
  • Always allow your deckchair to dry naturally. For best results we recommend re-proofing after cleaning, with a product such as Fabsil Universal Protector.
  • Ensure your deckchair is completely dry before putting it into storage, this will prevent mould and mildew.
  • We recommend checking every aspect of your deckchair daily, or prior to each use, so any damage is noticed quickly and can be acted upon.
  • Children should always be supervised by an adult. The deckchairs are chairs and not climbing frames, slides or trampolines.
  • We strongly suggest not exceeding the weight limit on the Saunton Giant Deckchair of 250kg e.g. 3 medium sized adults.
  • Be aware that the deckchairs can blow over in high winds. This could result in damage to anyone nearby, and the deckchair too. Exercise caution and carefully collapse and store the deckchair if in doubt.
  • Take care not to catch hands/fingers in the hinges when folding or unfolding the deckchairs.
  • We recommend locating your chair on a solid, soft and level standing, such as grass, sand or woodchip.
  • Ensure the chair is unfolded, stowed and locked correctly before use.
  • Customers use the chairs at their own risk.
